Hi ya’ll! Mimi here. It’s been a while since we last made updates about our vacation home in Verde Island. And that’s exactly what we’re gonna do today.
First of all, welcome to Engracio’s Beach Huts Rental’s new and official blog!
Verde Island Stories Online brings you fun and informative stories about our beautiful tropical island paradise. Expect to read and watch contents showcasing Engracio’s community in Sampalucan, San Agustin West and other interesting places in the island. And of course, we give you the latest in Engracio’s.
What’s Up with Engracio’s?
The past five years have been a roller-coaster ride for Engracio’s Beach Huts Rental. We temporarily shut down due to the COVID-19 pandemic, re-opened, then decided to close for good.
But in 2022, out of our passion to share the beauty of Verde Island, we started to make a comeback. Another thing that motivated us to restart: our desire to continue helping our fellow Verdenians through our community outreach programs. Even if we could not see a bright future for our small business due to manpower and maintenance issues, we chose to stand back up. We wanted to continue giving hope and light to our beloved community in Verde Island.
Moreover, we believe that welcoming visitors can play a role in preserving the beauty of Verde Island. Through our ecotourism efforts, we aim to inspire greater awareness and appreciation for conservation, helping protect the island for future generations to enjoy.
What’s New?
Nothing much has notably changed except that our favorite person said good-bye to Engracio’s. Ate Gerald is no longer managing the place. What a sad way to start this blog, but I thought it would be nice to share it with you.

For those of you who haven’t stayed at Engracio’s or have never met Ate Gerald, she used to be the main point person for all things concerning Engracio’s Beach Huts Rental. I guess I can say she’s everyone’s favorite “caretaker”, but to me, she’s a dear friend, and I hope she comes back to join us again.
Kuya Dhexter has joined us and makes sure that our guests receive the same level of warm care and attention that Ate Gerald was known for.

Some Things Have Never Changed in Our Verde Island Vacation Home.

Ate Myra is still with us, seeing to it that our cottages and guest rooms are well-kept.
With Ate Myra and Kuya Dhex taking care of our guests and our vacation home, and yours truly helping our guests prepare for their trip to Verde Island, I believe we still make a great team to carry out Engracio’s mission and vision. I’m truly grateful and proud of the natural hospitality they show—something that seems to come so naturally to every Verdenian.
